Drithia Jackson was born September 26, 1946 in Madison County, TN the daughter of the late John Saulman and Mary Kathleen Johnson Weeks.
She was united in marriage to Billy Wayne Jackson on June 12, 1964.
Mrs. Jackson graduated from Ramer High School in 1964. She earned a Bachelors of Education from Lambuth University and worked many years for the McNairy County Board of Education as a teacher before retiring. Mrs. Jackson was also self-employed as a beautician and owner of Eastview Beauty Shop. In 1976 she was elected the first female constable in the state of Tennessee and served until 1978. She also worked as a security guard for MaxxGuard Security, and was instrumental in forming the Tennessee Constable's Association. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Cypress Tank church of Christ.
Mrs. Jackson departed this life on November 10, 2019 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 1 Month, 15 Days. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Billy Wayne Jackson of Ramer, TN; a daughter, Sondra Mechelle (Jackson) Kiser and husband Phillip of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, Brian Douglas Jackson of Ramer, TN; three grandchildren: James Phillip Kiser, John Clint Kiser, Luke Jackson Kiser; two brothers, Johnny Wayne Weeks and Charles Harrison Weeks and wife Linda (Boyd), all of Eastview, TN; a special caregiver, Vilene Windom; and many extended family and friends.
