Earlene Daniel Gambrell

Earline Daniel Gambrell of Waynesboro, TN, formerly of Iron City, TN, was born September 4, 1928 in Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jim Taylor and Martha Bell Thompson Daniel. She was united in marriage to Russell Gambrell on December 24, 1954 and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2015.

Mrs. Gambrell was retired from Genesco and was a member of Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee. She departed this life on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Waynesboro Health and Rehab, Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 11 Months, 3 Days.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Brenda Gambrell, grandsons, Christopher Russ Gambrell and wife, Alisha and Brandon Michael Gambrell, great-grandchildren, Jimma Ruth and Tenlee Kay Gambrell and Henry Michael and Charlie Nelson Gambrell, a sister, Lois Brewer all of Iron City, TN and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gambrell was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Kay Gambrell and a son, Michael Russ Gambrell; brothers, Lester, J. R., Edward, Robert and Leslie Daniel and sisters, Lura Daniel, Dean Robertson, Lorene Moore and Barbara Moore.

Services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Camryn Eaton and Steven Turnbow officiating. Burial will follow in Hollis Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family. Pallbearers will be Roger Butler, Doug Lee, Marcus Adams, Tim Powell, Jerry Butler and Arlie Daniel.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
