Eddie Rains

Eddie B. Rains was born on June 17, 1940, the son of the late W.B. and Pearl Brooks Rains. On October 14, 1995, he was united in marriage to Cathy Cromwell, who survives. Eddie departed this life on October 17, 2017, at the age of 77 years and 4 months.
Eddie served his country in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962. He attended Savannah Church of Christ and was a former board member for the Hardin County Public Library. Eddie served on two boards for the City of Savannah and volunteered several years at the Walnut Grove Fish Fry.
In addition to his wife, Eddie is survived by his daughter, Marsha Rains of Savannah, Tennessee; step-daughter, Wendi Nix and husband Kirk of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Woodie W. Rains and wife Brenda of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; sister, Diana R. Dunn and husband John of Counce, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Katy Carroll Nix, Cole Nix, Caroline Nix, and Chloe Nix.
No public service will be held.
