EDWARD KIESTLER
Medon, TN: Roy Edward Kiestler age 78, passed away May 12, 2022 at his home.
He was born March 16, 1944 in Hardeman County, the son of the late Roy Lee and Beatrice Staggs Kiestler. He grew up in the Cloverport Community and attended school at Toone, TN.
He married Jean Slaughter on November 9, 1963 and they made their home at Deanburg.
Mr. Kiestler was a carpenter building commercial and residential construction for about fifty years, retiring in 2010.
He enjoyed tractor pulling and camping. He was a family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Kiestler is survived by his wife, Jean Slaughter Kiestler of Medon; a son, Eddie Kiestler (Amanda) of Medon; two grandchildren, Audrey Kiestler and Carter Kiestler and two nephews, Joe Johns (Margaret) and Raymond Johns both of Cloverport, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Vera Johns.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, May 15th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Bro. Ken Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery at Cloverport, TN.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday and 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Sunday.
