Edwina Kirk

Mrs. Edwina Maroney Kirk, age 83 of Toone, departed this life Thursday evening, September 5, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tennessee

A lifelong resident of Hardeman County, she was born April 8, 1930 to the late Edward and Pauline Dorris Maroney. She was a 1948 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and later graduated from Union University. On November 20, 1954, she was married to Lawrence Kirk, who preceded her in death February 15, 2013. She taught school for 10 years before deciding in 1964 to work at home. She was a member of Toone Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Vonda K. Wilson (Jim) and Larry Kirk (Mitzi), both of Medon; and three grandchildren, Connor and Bailey Kirk, and Makenzie Wilson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Maroney.
