Effie Marie Vickery Wright

Mrs. Effie Marie Vickery Wright was born August 22, 1925 in Haleyville, AL to the union of the late Tom and Ethel Pickard Vickery. She was united in marriage to Jay F Wright on July 12, 1944. Mr. Wright preceded her in death on February 29, 2020. Mrs. Wright worked for a number of years before her retirement from Genesco. She was a member of Collinwood Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Wright departed this life on October 29, 2020 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 2 Months and 7 Days.

She is survived by a son, Larry K Wright and wife Katy of Cypress Inn, TN; two grandchildren, Wendy Self and husband Matt of Pulaski, TN, Laura Kathryn Reaves of Greenfield, TN; two great grandchildren, Jessie Kelsey and husband Steven of McEwen, TN, John Tyler Morgan of Tuscaloosa, AL; three great great grandchildren: Lakai, Aiden and Silas Kelsey all of McEwen, TN; a special niece Barbara Howard and husband Rick of Florence, AL. and nephew Tim Stults of Muscle Shoals, AL

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her sister Estelle Stults and a great grandson Lucian Reaves.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday November 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens, Collinwood with Tim Hanback and Steven Turnbow officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County Assisting.
