    Elaine McNeal Ray

    June 5, 1950 - January 19, 2022

    Elaine McNeal Ray was born on June 5, 1950, the daughter of the late Claude Bernard and Clara Joan Quinn McNeal. On February 14, 1987, she was united in marriage to Billy Gene Ray, who preceded his wife in death on August 7, 2007. Elaine worked as a machine operator for Michael's Sportswear for 32 years. She was a member of BB&L Pentecostal Worship Center in Reagan, Tennessee and her church family was very important to her. Elaine enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and taking care of anyone in need. She loved her cat, Mary, and had many cats over the years. Elaine McNeal Ray departed this life on January 19, 2022 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the age of 71 years, 7 months, and 14 days. She is survived by her step daughter, Priscella Ray Goodson and her husband Wesley of Opelika, Alabama; grandchildren, Brent Ray Goodson and Amy Dalynn Goodson; great grandchildren, Saryn Grace Goodson and Myla Rae Goodson; special friends, Debbie and Danny Bishop of Jacks Creek, Tennessee, Nash Brewer of Milledgeville, Tennessee, and Izabella Swafford of Reagan, Tennessee; and all of her church family and coworkers. In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by her son, Jason Aaron Ray.
