ELLA BELLE GOODLOW FENDRIX
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 7, 1926 the daughter of the late Will Goodlow and Nancy Shannon Goodlow Tatum.
In April of 1946 she was united in marriage to Johnny Marshall Fendrix, Jr., who preceded her husband in death on August 1, 1994.
Ella worked as a Dialysis Nurse for 30 years for the VA Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a member of Graham Chapel CME Church in Savannah, Tennessee. Ella while living in Wisconsin was a member of the Incarnation Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, where she was a member of the Hand Chime Choir and was coordinator for the Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. Ella was a good cook, loved shopping and working with charities. She was a lady of leisure.
Ella departed this life on March 22, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 94 years, 2 months and 15 days.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Goodlow Lawson of Chicago, Illinois, Mamie Catherine Goodlow Adams of Disputanta, Virginia and Bertha Goodlow White-Jones of Chicago, Illinois; and brother, Tom Goodlow and his wife Gwen of Maryville, Indiana.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ella was preceded in death by her daughter, Johnny Marshall Stein Fendrix, four brothers, Willy D. Goodlow, Edward L. Goodlow, Leroy Goodlow and William Bedford Goodlow and two sisters, Burnice Eddlelan and Dorothy Davenport.
