Ellis Stults of Iron City, TN was born November 27, 1932 in Lutts, TN, the son of the late Major Dewey and Jewell Nancy Hanback Stults. He was united in marriage to Archie May Franks Stults and she preceded him in death.
Mr. Stults was a factory worker for 40 years at Uniroyal, was a member of the Southside General Baptist Church in South Bend, IN and returned to his Wayne County residence from South Bend, IN four years before his death.
Mr. Stults departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2019 at his home in the Southgate (Fairview) community at the age of 86 Years, 4 Months, 23 Days.
He is survived by a son, Terry Stults and companion, Debra Headley of Zephyr Hill, FL; daughters, Sherry Bunch and husband, Larry of South Bend, IN and Sharon Bromley and husband, Stan of Waynesboro, TN; a stepson, Greg Dennis and wife, Pam of Elkhart, IN; stepdaughter, Sherry Jane Dennis of South Bend, IN; 6 grandchildren, Shenna and Robert Ellis DeLeu, Dustin, Zack and Kaley Stults, Sharae Reaves and Brandon Dennis; 8 great-grandchildren, Shanell, Bobbie, Adora, Myah, Landyn, Ryker, Gabriel and Maddux; 1 great-great-grandchild, Grayson; a brother, Jimmy Stults of Johnson City, TN; a sister, Judy Bates and husband, Tommy of Summertown, TN and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Stults was preceded in death by brothers, Ledford, Russell Ezell and Jerry Stults and sisters, Syble Banks, Pauline West, Sarah Ellen Holt, Vinnie Skaggs and Elfreda Joo.
Services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Darrell West and John E. Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Sunday, April 21, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm and Monday, April 22, 2019 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Henson, Larry Skaggs, Ernie West, Darrell West, David West, Wayne Stults and Jerry Wayne Bevis. Honoray pallbearers will be Dustin Stults, Zack Stults and Robert DeLeu.
