Eltie Lee Austin was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 21, 1938, the daughter of the late Deck and Rosie May Austin. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of Christ. Ms. Austin retired from Cross Country Apparel after working there for approximately 10 years.
Ms. Austin was a joyful homemaker who loved to laugh, got out to eat, shopping, and going to yard sales. Most of all, she was a Christian woman who loved everyone. She loved being with her family, church family, and all of her friends and neighbors.
On November 2, 2019, Ms. Austin departed this life at the age of 81 years and 12 days. She is survived by four daughters, Freda Davis and her husband Billy, Patricia Nelson and her husband Charlie, and Connie Garrard all of Savannah, Tennessee, and Patty Jones and her husband Roger of Waynesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jennifer Fielder, Christy Shook, Misty Moore, Tabitha Ervin, and Angela Foreman; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Dean Austin of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Austin was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Benson; grandson, Jason Davis; three sisters, Dolly Fischback, Lucy Tidwell, and Jean Cummings; and two brothers, Perry Austin and Dalton Austin.
