Elva Gary departed this life on March 18, 2015 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 22 days. She was born in Chester County, Tennessee on May 24, 1942, daughter to the late Clovis and Willie Mae Tilley Gary.
Elva was employed in the finishing department of Jones Exhaust for 18 years. While she lived in the Crump, Tennessee area for most of her life, she also lived in Adamsville, Tennessee and Hardin County for 12 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Mrs. Gary is survived by her ex-husband, Woody Presley of Savannah, Tennessee; six daughters, Teresa Ann Nelson, Jessie Mancell, and Rejannia Greene all of Savannah, Tennessee, and Yolanda Doyle, Mandy Presley, and Sharon Hays all of Adamsville, Tennessee; three sons, Bennie Moore of Counce, Tennessee, Patrick Moore of Savannah, Tennessee, and Woody Presley of Selmer, Tennessee; four sisters, Willie Mae Terry of Savannah, Tennessee, Jennie Ann Presley of Parsons, Tennessee, Bertha Crowe of Wisconsin, and Josephine Jones of Texas; three brothers, Tony Joe Gary of Henderson, Tennessee, Bobbie Gary of Henderson, Tennessee, and C. E. Gary of Savannah, Tennessee; 25 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sons, Bobby Dewayne Presley and Timothy LeAllen Presley; and brother, Tommy Gary.
