Eric Joseph Hendrickson was born on November 16, 1960 in Islip, New York, the son of the late William Walfred and Anna Josephine Hanley Hendrickson.
During his early years, Eric enjoyed being a part of the Boy Scouts. He honorably served his country for a short period of time in the United States Navy. Prior to his recent move to Savannah, Tennessee, he lived in Douglas, Georgia for 30 years. Mr. Hendrickson worked for Optima Chemicals as a Chemical Operator. He loved gaming, electronics, traveling internationally, and watching baseball games, especially the New York Yankees. Most of all, Eric loved spending time with his family going camping, canoeing, and white water rafting.
Eric Joseph Hendrickson departed this life on March 23, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 60 years, 4 months, and 7 days.
He is survived by his sons, Josh Gager and his fiancee Elizabeth Hutchinson of Savannah, Tennessee and Eric William Hendrickson of Georgia; sisters, Pati Gorman and her husband Ned of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Teri Cliver and her husband Dave of Browns Mill, New Jersey, and Lisa Hendrickson of Hainesport, New Jersey; brother, Gary Hendrickson and his wife Holly of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; 7 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; girlfriend, Gloria Hamilton of McRae, Georgia; previous wife, Angela Hendrickson; and the mother of his son, Josh, Bonnie Vanderslice.
In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Hendrickson.
