EUGENE NEILL
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on August 27, 1934 the son of the late Ellis Kerr and Clara McFalls Neill.
On July 23, 1957 he was united in marriage to Jessie Baker, who preceded her husband in death on February 28, 2004. Eugene served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Robinson Grain from 1962 to 1970. Then from 1974 to 1986 Eugene worked for Hardin County in Register of Deeds office. He was also a truck driver. Eugene was a member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Tennessee, where he was a member of the Domino Club. He enjoyed farming and watching others work on their farm. Eugene was a handyman with his hands, always wanting to take care of everyone else. He always enjoyed playing dominos with his friends and spending time talking with them. Eugene loved being with his family and his dog, Jack, he could remember all his family members birthday.
He departed this life on February 3, 2019 at his residence in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 7 days.
Eugene is survived by his children, Jennifer Lambert and her husband Todd of Savannah, Tennessee, Scott Neill and his wife Vicki of Greenville, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jordan Lambert and Kyle Lambert, both of Savannah, Tennessee, and Ashley Neill of Cleveland, Tennessee; and one sister in law, Linda Neill of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Doug, Morgan and Russell Neill.
