Eugene "Peanut" Morris

Henderson, Tennessee: Eugene ‘ Peanut ‘ Morris age 73 passed away Friday May 23, 2014 at his home in Henderson.
He was born May 26, 1940 in Chester County and raised in the Oak Grove Community, son of the late Vaude Clink and Vera Elizabeth Browder Morris. He went to School in Chester County. He married Wanda Jean Paulk of Savannah, TN in 1960 and they made their home in Henderson. Mr. Morris farmed and worked at Grinnell in Magic Valley and was also a substitute mail carrier for the Henderson Post Office. He owned and operated Morris Grocery in Oak Grove. He loved to Coon hunt, fish and being outdoors. He was a member of the Chester County Coon Hunters, Henderson Masonic Lodge # 485, Henderson Jaycee and also a member of the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Jean Morris; a son Jason Morris (Deana) of Henderson and a daughter Carol Ramsay of Spring Hill. Six grandchildren; Jesica Emerson (Brad), Jenifer Lowrance (Steve), Rhett Ramsay, Austin Ramsay, Carlee Morris and Caelyn Morris. Two great grandchildren; Caleb Emerson and Noah Emerson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; V.C. Morris and James Ray Morris and two sisters; Mary Jo Johnson and DeLois Kent.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Billy Joe Stewart officiating and burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and Casey Chapel from 5 PM to 9 PM on Sunday.
