Fay Barnes was born April 22, 1937 in Potts Camp, MS the daughter of the late George Cecil Riley and Estelle Stacks Thomas.
She was united in marriage to George S. Barnes on June 22, 1954. Mr. Barnes preceded her in death on June 11, 2008.
Mrs. Barnes retired from Kimberly Clark. She was a member of Falcon Baptist Church in Selmer, TN. She loved shopping, going to yard sales, and working crossword puzzles. She was a loving and caring lady who adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Barnes departed this life on July 12, 2019 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 82 Years, 2 Months, 20 Days. She is survived by a son, Michael Barnes of Ripley, MS; a sister, Elizabeth Randolph of Southaven, MS; two brothers, David Riley and wife Rita, Eddie Riley and wife Carolyn all of Memphis, TN; two granddaughters, Britney Crum of Ripley, MS, Amanda Wallis and husband Joe C. of Selmer, TN; eleven great grandchildren, Weston, Javin, Jordynne, Jorga, Tyler, Savannah, Isabella, Aubree, Jonathan Crewse and wife Grisel, Blake Grove and husband Zach, Kimberly Gonzales; niece, Pat Isom and husband Larry of Memphis, TN; great nephew, Dylan Isom of Memphis, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by stepdad, Archie Thomas; son, George Melvin Barnes; three sisters, Shirley Cassini, Francis Robinson, and Joyce Ashe; great niece, Decie Isom.
There will be a private graveside service.
