Mrs. Faye D. Brown, 91, of Saulsbury, departed this life on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
A native of Tipton County, she was born November 18, 1922 to Clyde Gaines Daniel and Mary Lee Shankle Daniel, both of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Don Peeler, who preceded her in death in 1968 and married Grover W. Brown in 1970, who died in 1997. She lived in Memphis for about 40 years and moved back to this area in 1978. She loved cooking and growing flowers and feeding the birds in her yard. Mrs. Brown was an active member of West Memorial Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Adult Studies for 40 years and was instrumental in the jail and Pine Meadows ministries.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Donna and Mike Woodyard of Saulsbury; a son and his wife, Danny and Debbie Peeler of Decatur, TN; a brother, Leroy Daniel of Hernando, MS; six grandchildren, Jimmy Peeler, Tammy Fletcher, Christie Peeler, Scott Worsham, Adam and Ethan Woodyard; and four great grandchildren, Payton and Jordan Peeler, Maddie Worsham and Kadence Fletcher.
