Floyd (Pod) Stricklin
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 9, 1935 the son of the late Simon and Linnie Wilkerson Stricklin.
Pod, as he was known by everyone, was a retired self employed logger. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening with mules, coon hunting, and loved being around animals.
He departed this life on Monday, April 12, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 3 days.
Pod is survived by Jeroline (Judy) Stricklin; sons, Teddy (Buddy) Stricklin and Bob Stricklin, both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tanya Stafford, Tonya Harville and her husband David, Brittany Crotts, Samson Stricklin, Katie Franks and her husband Scoot, Jamie Stricklin and his wife Ashleah, Cody Thomas and her husband Brandon, Bridget Clayton and her husband Christopher, and Alex Franks; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Reece Stricklin and his wife Debbie of Savannah, Tennessee; and sister, Mary Stanford and her husband Bill of Sardis, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joe Stricklin; two daughters, Joy Crotts and Diane Franks; sister, Margaret Stanfill; and two brothers, Odell and Jay Stricklin.
