Frankie Kendrick departed this life on August 6, 2017 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 90 years, 4 months, and 3 days.
She was born in the Mt. Hermon community in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 3, 1927, the daughter of the late James William and Cessel Alexander Wolfe. On December 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to Wilbert N. Blount, who preceded her in death on November 18, 1975. Later, on February 6, 1982, she married William (Bill) Kendrick, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2006.
Frankie worked at Savannah Manufacturing Company in Savannah, Tennessee until she retired in 1986 to be a full-time grandmother. She loved to read and sew, and she could always be found working in her yard. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family, especially chocolate pies for her granddaughters. She was a faithful member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Frankie is survived by her daughters, Brenda Blount Nellums and husband Rob of Columbia, Illinois, Donna Blount Johnson and husband David of Savannah, Tennessee, and Judy Blount Ragsdale and husband Bob of Castle Rock, Colorado; step-daughter, Beverly Kendrick Alexander and husband Mike of Denver, Colorado; step-daughter-in-law, Sue Lambert of Savannah, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Julie Childers and husband Brad of Savannah, Tennessee, Lacey Carroll and husband Bailey of Trussville, Alabama; one great grandson, Canaan Childers.
In addition to her parents, Frankie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara Blount; stepson, David Kendrick; three brothers, James, Cecil, and Dee Wolfe; and six sisters, Fay Willoughby, Louise Hosea, Mary Welch, Marie Shelby, Jo Kate Varick, and Willie C. Yoakum.
