Freda Faye Holley was born January 11, 1937 in Michie, TN the daughter of the late Elmer and Jewel Thacker Sowell.
She was united in marriage to J.C. Holley on October 31, 1953. Mr. Holley preceded her in death on December 18, 1989.
Mrs. Holley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. She was an exceptionally talented baker - most proudly known for her famous fried pies - countrywide. She had one order for 850 fried pies which took a few days to complete. She also baked wonderful cakes and pecan pies.
She had the heart of a giver, always trying to help others in any way she could.
Mrs. Holley departed this life on December 12, 2020 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 11 Months, 1 Day. She is survived by three sons, Emmet Holley and wife Cheryl of Elizabethtown, KY, James Anthony Holley of Selmer, TN, Robert Holley and wife Betty of Fort Walton Beach, FL; two brothers, Fred Sowell of Corinth, MS, Richard Sowell of Stantonville, TN; a sister, Nellie Sue Williams of Corinth, MS; four grandchildren, Sarah Holley, Daniel Holley and wife Megen, Jason Holley and wife Suzette, Erin Thompson and husband Joel; four great grandchildren, Everett, Ellis, Josh, and Holley; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Holley was preceded in death by several siblings.
