Oneal was a young 57 and lived in Selmer, Tennessee most of his life. He also had lived in Louisiana and Mississippi. Oneal went to heaven on December 7, 2018 to be with his mother, father, brother, and other numerous relatives.
Oneal was born on November 18, 1961 in Selmer to the late Freddie B. Jenkins and Ruth Jenkins. He has one sister, Debbie Exum of Selmer, and was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Jenkins. He attended school at Selmer Elementary and Selmer Middle. He graduated from McNairy Central High School in 1980. He also took college courses at Capella University.
Oneal married his wife, Chris Jenkins, on February 28, 1981. He loved Nascar and never missed a race. He enjoyed teaching those around him about the sport. In his younger years, he enjoyed ging to Waynesboro, Tennessee to canoe on the Buffalo River. Camping was also an adventure for him.
Oneal is survived by his wife Yvonne Christine Hams Jenkins; a son, Chad Oneal Jenkins of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two daughters, Amanda Michelle Young and husband James of Covington, Tennessee and Jennifer Louise Jenkins of Humboldt, Tennessee; three grandchildren, James Matthew Young, Cristopher Wayne Young, and Gabriella LouEllen Higgins also known as "Bug"; a sister, Debbie Exum and husband Mike of Selmer; many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lewis and Louise Green of Water Valley, Mississippi.
He loved his family, especially the family gatherings that included food. He also had four little fur babies that will miss him greatly, Bitty, Mae, Moe, and Tripp.
