Freeda Matlock Willoughby departed this life on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at the age of 61 years, 5 months, and 27 days. She was born in Savannah, Tennessee on June 17, 1958, the daughter of Ferrell Matlock and the late Sarah Helen Franks Matlock.
Freeda had worked for River Heights Restaurant, Angelica, Hardwood, and Garan. She was the manager at the Savannah Moose Lodge for over 27 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 2130 and AARP Tennessee. Freeda was a hard worker, always enjoyed her job and helping other. She loved spending time with her friends, granddaughter, her family, and enjoyed being around people in general. Everyone that knew Freeda, knew she was a good person, with a heart of gold, would go out of her way to help anyone, and could be called on for anything. Freeda could definitely make a bad day for someone turn in to a good day. There was never a dull moment around her. Her son, Ryan and granddaughter, Laicey were definitely her life. She has definitely left us too quick and sudden and will be missed dearly, but she will always be in our hearts.
Freeda is survived by her father, Ferrell Matlock of Adamsville, Tennessee; sister, Debbie Condrey of Savannah, Tennessee and her family; brother, Dewayne Matlock of Morris Chapel, Tennessee and his family; stepsons, Casey Willoughby and Cody Willoughby, both of Savannah, Tennessee and their families; granddaughter, Laicey Lynn Balentine of Savannah, Tennessee; and a host of friends and family members that love her very much.
In addition to her mother, Freeda was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Edwin Balentine and his father Clifford Balentine; and her grandparents, Curry and Reba Matlock, and Charlie and Alice Franks.
