GAIL CLEMENT
Henderson, TN: Rebecca Gail Plunk Clement, age 77, passed away July 31, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born April 19, 1942 in the Sweetlips Community in Chester County, the daughter of the late Ezra Plunk and Jewell Austin Plunk Allington. She attended school in Chester County and also attended LPN school. She had worked as a home health nurse’s assistant. She enjoyed artistic painter, refinishing furniture, writing poetry and gardening. She was also an excellent seamstress. She was a member of the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Clement is survived by her husband, Kenneth Kelly Clement of Henderson; a daughter, Becky Cox (Sandy) of Henderson and a son, Tim Clement (Judy) of Kansas City, Kansas; six grandchildren, Matt Clement, Aaron Clement, Laura Clement, Jonathon Cox, Benjamin Cox and Becca Cox; five great grandchildren; a brother, Ronnie Plunk of Joliet, IL and four
sisters, Shirley Evans of Jackson, Brenda Garrett of Bolivar, Jo Ellen Garrett of Bolivar and Tina Schribner of Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Larry Neal Plunk, Bud Plunk, Eugene Plunk and Randy Plunk and a sister, Janice Lindsey.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 3 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main with Rick Seaton officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery at Bethel Springs, TN.
The family will receive friends at East Main 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM Saturday.
