GAIL COLBERT DURBIN
Enville, TN: Frances Gail Colbert Durbin age 85, passed away November 18, 2021 at Adamsville Healthcare.
She was born April 24, 1936 at Hinkle and grew up at Enville, the daughter of the late Thetus Elbert and Thelma Maness Colbert. She went to school at Enville, and in 1952 she married Bobby Durbin. They made their home at Enville. She worked in the garment industry having worked at HIS at Saltillo, MKD at Milledgeville and Enville manufacturing. She retired in 2001. She was a member of the Enville Church of Christ.
She enjoyed crocheting, attending the Senior Citizens Center in Henderson, attending Sunday school, watching the grandchildren’s ball games and going to tractor pulls.
Mrs. Durbin is survived by a son, Kendall Clark Durbin and wife Michelle of Huron: four daughters, Brenda Essary and husband Ricky of Milledgeville, Rhonda Pickens and husband Ricky of Morris Chapel, Connie Neisler-Hearn and husband Terry of Henderson and Scarlett Henley and husband Scott of Selmer; 10 grandchildren, Brandy Cherry (Jason), Crystal Hunt (Brandon), Kevin Essary (Megan), Heather Bartholomew (Doug), Beth Ann Durbin, K.C. Durbin (Adrian), Thetus Neisler, Kimberly Neisler, Payton Watkins (Davis) and Camron Henley; 16 great grandchildren, Sydney, Bristol, Case, Ella, Cooper, Collin, Chloe, TY, Bo, Darby Jean, Teagan, Lawson, Russell, Roy Mack, Tate and Mattie Claire.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby Durbin on December 29, 2016; two brothers, Ralph Colbert and Troy Lee Colbert and a sister, Virginia Maness; a grandson, Alan Pickens and a great grandson, Drew Bartholomew.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 22th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Jimmy Dyer and Brandy Cherry officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery at Enville, TN.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Monday.
