GENE ESTELL
was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on October 17, 1937 the son of the late Carl and Mattie Sue East Estell.
On February 11, 1989 he was united in marriage to Annie Pearl Gray, who survives.
Mr. Estell served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After serving his country he went to work for PCA in Counce, Tennessee for over 20 years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on different items, such as washing machines and dryers. Mr. Estell enjoyed taking vacations and spending time with his family. You could always find him at Mollie Mondays, he was a member of the Mollie Mondays Coffee Shop. Mr. Estell was of the Pentecostal belief.
He departed this life on November 23, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 6 days.
Mr. Estell is survived by his wife of 28 years, Annie Gray Estell of Savannah, Tennessee; one daughter, Belinda Williams of Mayfield, Kentucky; one son, Jerome Estell and his wife Deborah of Warner Robbins, Georgia; two step daughters, Dinah Briley and Mitzi Stanfield, both of Savannah, Tennessee; one grandchild, Alyssa Williams; two step grandchildren, Kimberly White and Justin Davis and two step great grandchildren, Kane White and Kimzey White.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Ferguson Estell; one son in law, Gerald Williams; one sister, Laverne Estell and one brother, Nathan Estell.
