George Wayne Brint

George Wayne Brint, 75, of Bolivar, departed this life Monday, February 4, 2019 at St. Francis of Bartlett.

He worked as a licensed insurance agent with Farm Bureau (Tennessee Farmers Mutual), retiring in 1997. A 1962 graduate of Bolivar Central High School, he played football for Ole Miss, transferring to Lambuth in Jackson where he met the love of his life, Nancy Guthrie. After a whirlwind romance, they married on June 2, 1965 at St. Luke's Methodist Church. George graduated college a year later and they settled in Hardeman County to raise their family. He worked briefly as a coach and teacher at Bolivar Central High School before going into the insurance business. He completed his CLU rating (chartered life underwriter) while working for Farmer's Life. After retiring, he started his own company, Advanced Decoy Research, making devices to aid hunters, and sold that company in 2011. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting all animals including deer and coyote and relaying stories about his hunts. He was active in the Civitan Club, the NRA and was a member of the Hardeman County Republican Party. Mr. Brint previously had served as a Deacon with the Baptist church and was currently attending the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Brint of Bolivar; two daughters, Amanda (Trevor) Bullion of Brentwood and Courtney (Tim) Burnette of Somerville; a son, Blaine (Jenni) Brint of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Joyce Ann Miller of Elizabethton, PA and Janela Hollis of Birmingham, AL; and 7 grandchildren, whom were the light of his life, Mary-Tate Bullion, Sophie Brint, Parker Bullion, Mason Brint, Chloe Burnette, Emma Bullion and Camille Burnette.
