Georgia Elizabeth Hutcherson Curlin was born January 25, 1929 in Memphis, TN the daughter of the late John Frederick and Icie Thompson Hutcherson.
She was united in marriage to John Frederick Curlin on February 14, 1946. Mr. Curlin preceded her in death on April 10, 1990. In 2003, she married Marshall Burton Turner. Mr. Turner preceded her in death on May 1, 2009.
Mr. Curlin served in the United States Air Force for 33 years; military life led the family on many wonderful adventures and places. They were stationed in different states and Japan. They were involved in Shriners and Eastern Star while living in San Antonio.
Mrs. Curlin was the office manager of Home Entertainment Equipment Repair for several years. She also worked for JcPenney and Sears. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Selmer.
Mrs. Curlin departed this life on November 29, 2020 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 91 Years, 10 Months, 4 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Brigman of Jackson, TN; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Curlin of Selmer, TN; son-in-law, Charles David Brigman of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Robbie Jean Hutcherson Jones and husband, Gordon of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, Christopher Kelly Brigman, April L. Curlin Shavers, Crissy L. Curlin, Tammy Curlin Hashmi, Jennifer Curlin Duarte, Misty Curlin Bowen; twelve great grandchildren, Adrianne Shavers, Cort Kendrick Shavers, Samir and Maliyah Hashmi, Angela, Faith Elise, June, and Gracie Duarte, Autumn, John Thomas, Jasmine, and Jynnette Bowen; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Curlin was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Kendrick Curlin; two brothers, John Howard and Jerry Paul Hutcherson.
