Georgiana Toney, 70, of Hickory Valley, passed from this life Wednesday morning, April 6, 2022, at her home. Memorial services will be held at a later date in New York.
The wife of Noel Ashley Toney, who survives, she was a sales associate with Target for over 10 years in New York and also had worked at Wal-Mart in Bolivar for over 5 years. She was born Saturday, January 19, 1952, in New York, NY, daughter of the late Francis Albert Zimmerman and Anna Mae Reily Zimmerman, moving here from New York about 15 years ago. She was active in the Hickory Valley Women's Club and enjoyed being at home with her dogs and her family. She was Catholic in faith.
In addition to her husband, whom she married on June 28, 1969, survivors include a son, Brett Toney of Bronz, NY; 2 brothers, John Zimmerman and Francis Zimmerman; two sisters, Patricia Natale and Arlene Merker; and 3 grandchildren, Joshua, William and Kaitlin Luvera. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Luvera in 2019..
