Gina Williams Jordan

Gina Williams Jordan, 56, of Millington, formerly of Bolivar, departed this life Monday, January 4, 2021 at her home.

She was born July 10, 1964, in Fayette County, the daughter of Pat Bruce Jordan of Middleton and the late Billy Wayne Williams. She was a 1982 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and received her Master's in Nursing, working at Bolivar Central High School with their HOSA program for about 15 years, with Baptist East Hospital, and most recently was the HOSA instructor at Millington Central High School. She enjoyed cross-stitching, watching independent films at the Ridgeway, reading, especially Jane Austen novels, Broadway musicals, and all holidays, particularly Halloween and Christmas. A well known "Jeopardy Pro", she received her greatest fulfillment from being around her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved, and was referred to as "softball team GiGi". Ms. Jordan was a Christian in faith.

In addition to her mother, survivors include three daughters, Juliana Baker (Patrick) of Brighton, Lara Cate Young (Phillip) and Mica Charlotte Jordan (Joshua Cannon), all of Memphis; two sisters, DeLaine Ledford of Middleton and Kim Fox of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Patrick Jordan of Grand Valley Lakes; two half brothers, Benjamin Williams of West Virginia and Michael Williams of Nova Scotia, Canada; and three grandchildren, Malin and Alice Baker and Monroe Young. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Monroe Jordan. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the HOSA departments at Bolivar Central High School or Millington Central High School.

THE FAMILY REQUESTS THAT ANYONE ATTENDING THE VISITATION OR FUNERAL WEAR A MASK OR FACIAL COVERING.

While visiting or attending services for Ms. Jordan, please consider the following guidelines:

* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
