Glenda Steely

Glenda Steely

was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on April 1, 1951 the daughter of the late Hassell Tony and Flora Jane Hinton McFall.

On June 27, 1970 she was united in marriage to Gene Edward Steely, who preceded his wife in death on October 11, 2007.

Glenda was a homemaker and also had worked at a sewing factory. She was a member of New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Counce, Tennessee. Glenda loved tending to her garden and flowers. She also enjoyed shopping, listening to gospel music on the radio, spending time with family, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Glenda departed this life on Monday, May 30, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 71 years, 1 month, and 29 days.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Dendy and her husband Scott of Savannah, Tennessee, and Eddie Steely of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Cody Dendy and his wife Laura Beth, Chelsea Hosea and her husband Kaden, William Steely and Hannah Steely, all of Savannah, Tennessee; great grandchildren, Tuff Dendy, Layla Dendy, Ellie Mae Hosea, and Aubrey Hosea, all of Savannah, Tennessee; and sisters, Ellen Stricklin, Nelda Franks, and Robbie McFall, all of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Glenda was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Steely; brothers, Virgel McFall, Paul McFall, and Thomas McFall; and a stillborn son.
