Grace Bynum

Grace Bynum, age 76 of Saulsbury, Tennessee, died Monday morning, August 19, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.

Mrs. Bynum was born in Hardeman County on Friday, January 1, 1943 to the late George Edward and Lillian Hillhouse Redfearn. She graduated from Grand Junction High School and received a Masters degree from Blue Mountain College. On March 16, 1964, she married Mr. Bobby Bynum, who preceded her in death September 6, 2016. Other than the short while she lived in Memphis, Grace lived most of her life in Hardeman County.

She worked as a Regional Probation Supervisor for Corrections Management as well as the State of Tennessee and was a homemaker. She also worked for Southcentral Bell for 10 years and was a teller at Hardeman County Bank in Grand Junction for a time. She was a member of the Saulsbury Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and director.

Survivors include her two sons, Stephen Bynum and wife Justine and Tony Bynum and wife Randi of Saulsbury; brother, Martin Redfearn of Jackson; grandchildren, Aden, Clay and Kyle Bynum; and one great-grandchild, Haiden Bynum.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Redfearn and Lynn Redfearn.

Charitable contributions made in Mrs. Bynum's memory may be sent to the Saulsbury Baptist Church, 123 Church Street, Saulsbury, TN 38067.
