Mr. Graves passed away Wednesday evening at Baptist Hospital in Collierville.
He was born in Hickory Valley, TN, the son of the late Bazley Monroe and Maggie Hailey Graves. On December 28, 1955, he was united in marriage to the former Mary Louise Adams. She passed away August 10, 2003. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Graves was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
He retired in 1986 as a diesel mechanic having worked for Tri-State Mack in Memphis for over 30 years and he had lived in Collierville since 1965. A member of First Baptist Church of Piperton, he enjoyed deer hunting, gardening and working outside on his lawn, in his leisure time. Mr. Graves especially treasured time spent with his family including grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah J. Butler and husband, Bruce, of Indiantown, FL and Peggy Kunst of Lowell, IN; one son, Harry Graves, Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Tennessee Ridge, TN; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
