Helen Louise Baker Stanley

July 18, 1924 — March 6, 2019

Mrs. Stanley, 94, of Bolivar, passed from this life Wednesday evening, March 6, 2019 at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.

The daughter of the late Rev. & Mrs. Allie B. Baker, she was born Friday, July 18, 1924 in Hardeman County and was a life-long resident here. She was the widow of Mr. Hence Stanley, who she married on Saturday, September 16, 1939. They had been married 63 years at the time of his death on Tuesday, May 6, 2003. Mrs. Stanley was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and retired as an inspector with Harmon Automotive after serving over 30 years.

She was a strong Christian wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. She glorified God through her love and care for the family and friends as well as her love for her flowers and her well-manicured lawn. Her gift of humor was a blessing to many and helped those struggling to find joy in life through laughter. She faced the trials and tribulations in life with faith and courage. Her positive attitude was an influence for others facing difficult times.

The family would like to thank the Pine Meadows facility and staff for the loving care shown to their Mother for the past 3 1/2 years.

She is survived by a son, Robbie (Bobbie) Stanley of Middleton; three daughters, Sandra Clifton (friend, Houston Kirk) of Ripley, MS; Diane (Johnny Ray) Anthony of Bolivar and Connie (Mark) Cooper of Middleton; four brothers, Joe, Bruce, Forrest and Donald Baker, all of Bolivar; two sons-in-law, Johnny Phillips of Toone and Billy Doyle of Bolivar; ten grandchildren, Stan (Carla) Doyle, Kenny (Angie) Doyle, Debbie (Allen) Wilson, Richie (Stephanie) Clifton, Joani (Michael) Crum, Kassie (Jared) Hunter, Crystal Phillips, Donna, Tanya and Keith Stanley; five step-grandchildren, Benjy Miller, Eva Heidelberg, Bo and Jeanette York and Denise Vaughn; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
