Mrs. Young, the widow of James Robert Young (d. May 11, 1997), passed from this life on Wednesday morning, March 25, 2020 at Life Pointe Villages in Southaven, MS.
She was born in Middleton, the daughter of the late Frank Cornelius "Doc" Pulse and Martha Hazel Mohundro Pulse. She married Mr. Young on December 28, 1954 and was a graduate of Middleton High School.
She lived in Memphis since 1956 where she was employed as an office clerk for Cooper's Grocery and was a member of Colonial Baptist Church. In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling with her sister-in-law and best friend, Kathy Pulse, cookouts with family and friends and being with family.
She leaves a daughter, Robyn McCullough (Ben) of Olive Branch, MS; two sons, Phil Young (Bonnie) of Nesbit, MS and Jeff Young (Michelle) of Rogers, AR; four brothers, David Pulse (Wanda), Marion Pulse (Kathy) and Randall Pulse (Debra), all of Middleton, and Kenneth Pulse (Diane) of Walnut, MS; nine grandchildren, Candice Maxwell (Chad), Paige Young, Jeremy Smith (Valerie), Paul Smith, Kacie White, Rachel Young, Jay Young, Corey McCullough (Ashley) and Kelly McCullough; and seven great-grandchildren, Makayla Banko, Dalton Brown, Olivia and Alex Smith, Micah McCullough, Molly and Ava Maxwell.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Polly Robinson.
