Helen Wickersheim was born in Lake Forest, Illinois on July 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Sven Arvid and Delphia Congor Swanson. On December 8, 1949, she was united in marriage to Gerald Evan Wickersheim, who preceded her in death on April 5, 2000. Mrs. Wickersheim departed this life on May 30, 2018, at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 16 days.
Mrs. Wickersheim lived in Hardin County, Tennessee for 19 years. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Waukeegan, Illinois and volunteered with Rhema Ministries in Savannah, Tennessee; Mrs. Wickersheim enjoyed ice skating, fishing, going to football and baseball games, bowling, swimming, and reading. She was an avid collector and collected everything.
Mrs. Wickersheim is survived by her sons, Stephen Wickersheim and wife Teresa of Lexington, Tennessee, Bryan Wickersheim of Savannah, Tennessee, and Corey Wickersheim and wife Mildred of Adamsville, Tennessee; daughters, Gloria Libigs and husband Udo of Roscoe, Illinois, Alecia Walker and husband Gregory of Belleville, Michigan, Laura Brown and husband Roger of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Deanna Case and husband Gary of Riverside, California; sister, Lynne Osterman of Washington; 23 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wickersheim was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Wickersheim; brothers, Samuel Swanson and Arvid Eugene Swanson; grandchildren, Anthony Johnson and Brenda Libigs; and great grandchild, Mason Garcia.
