Ila Briley departed this life on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 29 days. She was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on April 15, 1940, the daughter of the late Doc and Bea Garner Webb.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul Briley of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Keith Allen Briley of Horn Lake, Mississippi, Kevin Lynn Briley and his wife Susan of Jacksonville, Alabama, and Paula Ann Jennings and her husband Raymond of Bartlett, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tessa Briley, Zachary Briley, Marissa Briley, Abby Jennings, and Allie Jennings; and sister, Ella Freeman of Imperial, Missouri.

Ila had worked in Chicago, Illinois, where she met her husband, Paul Briley and they were married on April 17, 1965. They later moved to Tupelo, Mississippi, where their sons, Keith and Kevin were born. A few years later the family moved to Savannah, Tennessee, where their daughter, Paula Ann was born.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband across the United States, researching the ancestry of her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and taking pictures of them for her scrapbook project. Ila was a member of the Pickwick Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, Ila was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill, Bob, and Roy Webb.
