Imogene Stanford

Mary Imogene Guyon Stanford was born May 22, 1928 in Huron, TN the daughter of the late Ben and Annie Bell Young Guyon.

She was united in marriage to J.W. Stanford on October 6, 1945. Mr. Stanford preceded her in death on June 14, 2002 . She had worked for Angelica, and she also had sold Avon products. She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee.

Mary loved everyone at her church, and she loved people in general, especially her grandkids. Likewise, everyone loved her in return. She enjoyed gardening and other outdoor activities such as fishing, and picking pecans and blackberries. She loved her nursing home family and spent her time there playing bingo.

Mary departed this life on October 10, 2018 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 4 Months, 18 Days.

She is survived by three daughters, Elaine Wallace of Savannah, TN, Cheryl Parrott of Milledgeville, TN, and Donella Phillips of Adamsville, TN; ten grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Duford Guyon, and two great grandchildren.
