Jean Pettigrew Morris departed this life on Friday, September 21, 2018, at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 2 days. She was born in Shiloh, Tennessee on November 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Eber T. and Vestal Rodgers Pettigrew. On January 23, 1965 she was united in marriage to Billy James Morris, who survives.
Jean was a homemaker and a member of the Crump First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Billy James Morris; daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Ganus; grandson, Clay Alan Ganus; brother, Al Pettigrew and wife Ann, all of Adamsville, Tennessee; sister, Bobbie Mae Patrick of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a son, James Brent Morris; brothers, James E. Pettigrew, Laverne Pettigrew, and Jerald Pettigrew; and sisters, Kathryn Heinz, Vonda Ruth Russell, and Lou Vise.
