Mrs. Irene Price Stricklin departed this life on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 6 Months, 15 Days. She was born March 2, 1932 in Wayne County, TN the daughter of the late James William and Elizabeth Earle Hunt Price.
She was united in marriage to James Allen "Shug" Stricklin on December 17, 1948. Mr. Stricklin preceded her in death on October 4, 1999.
Mrs. Stricklin was a homemaker and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, Terry W. Stricklin, wife Sharon of Lutts, TN; and Jeff Stricklin, wife Ethel of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Kathy Casteel, husband Jimmy of Waynesboro, TN, Patricia Howell, husband Wade of Waynesboro, TN, JoAnn Reaves of Collinwood, TN; and Melinda Bratcher, husband Tim of Collinwood, TN; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, sister, Dorothy Robbins of Lutts, TN; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stricklin was preceded in death by sons, Lewis Allen Stricklin and Robert Glen Stricklin; daughter, Glenda Gail Stricklin; granddaughter Amy Reaves, great grandchild, Cheyenne Skillern, son in laws, Darrell Reaves and Johnny Casteel, brothers, Haskel Price and J.D. Price; sisters, Ollie Newborn, Mollie Horton, Louise Cooper, Imogene Wright and Willodean Cooper.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Cromwell Crossroads Church in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton, Johnny B. Burns and Earl Rich officiating. Burial will follow in Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 19, 6:00 pm unitl 11:00 am on Thursday, September 20, at Houston Baptist Church, Collinwood, TN and on Thursday, September 20, at 12:00 noon until service time at Cromwell Crossroads Church.
