Iris Bernice Overton Daniel, age 88, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020, at Visions Assisted Living in Mesa, Arizona.
She was born August 29, 1931 to William Siler Overton and Flossie L. Overton, in Cloverport Tennessee. She was married to Wade L. Daniel for 33 years until his passing on May 8, 1984. She will always be remembered for her favorite bedtime snack, Oatmeal Creme Pies, and her homemade banana pudding. She always made us laugh with her funny sayings, was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed watching high profile cases on T. V. She loved her animals, and was preceded in death one month prior by her cat "Joker," and three months prior by her emotional support Dalmation "Tango," who looked after her, followed her every move, and is now reunited with her in heaven. She leaves behind her baby, Angel.
Mrs. Daniel, 'Mawmaw,' is survived by five daughters, Anita (Pete) Yates of Kentucky, Wanda (Dale) Adams of TX, Nancy Miller ( fiance Brad Vickers) of Missouri, Sheila (Wayne) Erickson of Texas, and Kimberly Vucson of Arizona; a sister, Martha (Ricky) Hillhouse and a sister-in law Mary Jo Overton; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Daniel; a daughter, Beverly Daniel Revoir Pino; a brother, Siler Ray Overton; and a sister, Florence Jane Sullivan.
A special thank you to the staff at Visions Assisted Living and Unity Hospice for providing care for her when the family could not be there.
