Irmingard Tennyson was born March 5, 1930 in Zwiesel, Germany the daughter of the late Anton and Anna Bergmeister Liebl.
She was united in marriage to Donnie Tennyson on December 13, 1956. She married into the military life and traveled all over the United States as well as Germany. While her husband was away in Vietnam, she wrote him a letter every day.
Mrs. Tennyson worked for Hardeman County Developmental Center in Bolivar as an accountant. She also worked at K-Mart in Memphis from 1974 to 1980. She was a member of the Eastern Star from 1967 to present and Lutheran Church from 1965 - 1980. She was a Girl Scout Leader from1971-1974 and Boy Scout Leader from 1965-1968.
She was a wonderful Mama and the best Oma anyone could ever ask for. She was a passionate and giving person. She loved knitting and everyone had their "Mama socks." She enjoyed taking care of all of her animals.
Mrs. Tennyson departed this life on May 29, 2020 in Bolivar, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 2 Months, 24 Days. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donnie Tennyson of Bolivar, TN; two daughters, Monika M. Strickland and husband Paul, Irma J. Getske and husband Ray; a son, Donnie F. Tennyson and wife Annie; a brother, Anton Liebl of Zwiesel, Germany; eight grandchildren, Randy Reese, John Reese, Jeremy Tennyson, Amanda Sullivan, Rhea Abbott, Rebecca Butler, Ava Bourg, Rena Naranjo; 19 great grandchildren, Krista Puckett, Kyle Reese, Warren Reese, Alec Tennyson, Ashton Tennyson, Ginger Sullivan, Myles Reese, Mazie Reese, Randoll Reese, Rylo Reese, Landon Brooks, Lydia Brooks, Colton Wolfe, Braxton Butler, Mason Butler, Finley Butler, Gabriel Butler, Michael Abbott, Memphis Abbott; numerous nieces and nephews.
