Iva Jean Morris, age 87, of Savannah, was born December 11, 1930, in Lutts, to the late Dona and Elmer McFall. She was raised by her grandmother, Linnie Beth McFall, whom she loved very much. On June 1, 1947, in Waterloo, Alabama, she married Roy Morris, who preceded her in death in 1998. Jesus took her hand on Monday, February 12, 2018.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her children, Joyce (Troy) Benson of Savannah, Tennessee, Steve Morris of Indiana, Patty Morris Pride of Savannah, Tennessee; siblings, Eva May Hinton, Nina Faye Stricklin, Jacqueline Scott, Josephine Ford, Charles McFall, Larry McFall, and Lloyd Holt; grandchildren, Charlie (Shelly) Morris, Kimberly (William) Frazier, Pamela Morris, Michael Morris, Misty Morris, Steven Morris, Christopher Morris, Jeffery (Lynn) Pride, Kayla Roach, all of Indiana, Brant (Cheryl) Morris, Shelia (Bubba) May, Jamie (Kim) Benson, Jeannie (Donald) Bonee, Logan Jenkins, Dakota Jenkins, Dylan Pride, all of Savannah, Jennifer (Jack) Pride, who lived with her in Savannah; grandson-in-law, Ray White; and 26 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her son, Charles Morris; siblings, Russell McFall, Billy McFall, and Teddy McFall; and a granddaughter, Melinda White.
She was a member of Savannah Church of Christ for more than 30 years, after moving here from South Bend, Indiana, having lived there for 35 years and raising her family there.
She was a strong lady, devoted to God and her faith. She loved a good laugh, of which she had many, and her family and her church. She'll be greatly missed, but her strength, love and memories will live on in our hearts. We will miss you forever, Mom.
