J.A. "Jack" Clausel departed this life on Friday, February 7, 2020, at the age of 94 years, 5 months, and 7 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 31, 1925, the son of the late James Riley and Annie Alice Perry Clausel. On February 21, 1959, he was united in marriage to Winnie Modene Haynes, who preceded him in death on March 1, 2015.
Jack served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII. This service took him many places, including Normandy France and Germany. Once he returned home, he worked construction for many years for Owen's Construction and for T.V.A at Yellow Creek, and Parris Manufacturing. Jack was a devout Christian and enjoyed working in his yard, walking and exercising, but most of all he loved taking care of his mother and his family.
He is survived by his son, Larry Williams and his wife Kim of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Jenny Lind Ayra, Trae Dickson, Jeff Williams, Michael Williams, Blake Williams, and Casey Williams; eleven great grandchildren; a nephew, Larry Clausel and his wife Joyce of Savannah, Tennessee; and a niece, Diane Clausel of Savannah, Tennesse.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jack was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert "Junior" Williams; grandchild, Chris Williams; brother, John Edwin Clausel; and two infant sisters.
