Jack Benny Shiver

Jack Benny Shiver, Sr. departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 8 days. He was born in Andalusia, Alabama on May 5, 1929, the son of the late Arlton Artis and Bennie Lou Greathouse Shiver.

Jack, Sr. was a veteran of the United States Navy. He had lived in Rome, Georgia and moved to Savannah, Tennessee in 1960, and went to work for PCA that same year. He stayed with the company until 1985 when he retired. Jack, Sr. was a member of Mt. View Church of Christ, loved playing music, especially any stringed instrument and piano, and in his younger years, he loved to ride motorcycles.

Jack, Sr. is survived by his sons, Jack B. Shiver, Jr. and his wife Annette of Savannah, Tennessee and Kelly Shiver and his wife Kelly of Fairview, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brandon Shiver, O'Neal Franks, Hunter Shiver, and Kennedy Shiver; great grandchild, Garrett Shiver; and brother, Max Shiver of Alabama.

In addition to his parents, Jack, Sr. was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Lynn Shiver, and several brothers and sisters.
