Mr. Tranum passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at his home near Bolivar.
He was born in Hardeman County, the son of the late Bobby Gene Tranum and Pauline Parker Tranum, who survives. He lived 30 years in Memphis before returning to live in Bolivar. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Tranum.
Mr. Tranum held a variety of positions working in the timber industry with his father at Tranum logging. He also had worked hanging sheet rock. In his leisure time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and four-wheelers. An avid outdoorsman, he was able to make friends with just about anyone, as evidenced by his many friends and was loved by all.
He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn Cox Tranum, whom he married on May 6, 2005; his mother, Pauline Tranum of Bolivar; his brother, Jeff (Carla) Tranum of Silerton; two nieces, Ashley Williams and Lesley Steven; three nephews, Todd, Tyler and Josh Tranum; and his beloved dogs, "Goof-ball" and "Sissy".
