Jacqueline Stricklin Franks departed this life on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 23 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Charlie and Nora Stricklin. On April 15, 1954, she was united in marriage to Oscar Kenneth Franks, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2007.
Jacqueline was a life long Hardin Countian and attended Abrams Chapel Church. She was a homemaker and loved sewing, cooking, and flower gardening.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice Averett and her husband Bob of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Joanie Daniel, Candie Franks, Amber Hoffmeister, Amanda Franks, Leigh Anne Higgins and her husband Brian, and Cassie Thompson; great grandchildren, Hunter Caperton, Jayden Daniel, Tyler Mayes, David Bonelli, Kaitlyn Mayes, Bentlee Pulley, Kylie Franks, Lily Higgins, and Harper Higgins; a brother, Charles Stricklin and his wife Pauline of Savannah, Tennessee; a sister, Peggy Shubert and her husband Jimmy of Savannah, Tennessee; and a daughter-in-law, Vernice Franks of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Jacqueline was preceded in death by her son, Larry Joe Franks; sisters, Charlyne Stricklin and Lula Johnson; brothers, Bomar Stricklin, G.W. Stricklin, Billy Stricklin, and Gene Stricklin.
