James Franklin Davis, Jr.

Mr. Davis passed away Wednesday night, November 13, 2019, at Bolivar General Hospital.
He was a native and life-long resident of Bolivar, the son of Dorothy Mae Ervin Davis Cox, who survives and the late James Franklin Davis, Jr. He had formerly worked for River Oil Company as a driver and was a member of the New Union Baptist Church near Medon. In his leisure time, Mr. Davis enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending church and collecting old coins and knives.
He leaves his mother, Dorothy Cox of Bolivar; three sisters, Shirley Mae Moody and Carolyn Marie Conner, both of Toone; and Lisa Gail McMahan of Selmer; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his grandmother, Georgia Mae Crowley; and his grandfather, Earmel Ervin.
