James Philhart, Jr.

Private family memorial services will be scheduled at a future date for James Edmond Philhart, Jr. Mr. Philhart passed from this life on Friday night, June 18, 2021 at his home near Middleton.

A native and long-time resident of Memphis, he moved to Middleton over 20 years ago with his wife of 35 years, Debbie Skinner Philhart. He was the son of the late James Edmond Philhart, Sr. and Ollie Geraldine Gentry Philhart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters.

Mr. Philhart was a retired maintenance engineer with Hilton Worldwide Hotels having become disabled 20 years ago. While in Memphis, he was a member of Bellvue Baptist Church and in his leisure time enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work and time spent with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons, James Edmond "Jimbo" Philhart, III of Middleton, Jeremy (Dawn) Philhart of Franklin, TN and John Philhart of Nashville; and two grandchildren, James Edmond "J. J." Philhart, IV and Ethan Norvell Phihart.
