Mr. James Steven "Boyde" Duncan, age 82 of Bolivar, Tennessee, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Tennova Regional Healthcare in Jackson, TN.
James Steven "Boyde" Duncan was born Friday, November 16, 1934, to the late James Thomas and Marie Duncan in Hardeman County, TN. James worked for Joe Baker and Granville Howell, and he atteneded the Hebron Baptist Church. He enjoyed coon hunting, working on small engines, and entertaining little kids. James lived all his life in Hardeman County, TN.
He is survived by a son, Steve Austin (Carol) of Silerton, TN; a daughter, Diane Tollison (Mike) of Saltillo, MS; four sisters, Dorothy Clark (Wayne) of Beech Bluff, TN, Ozell Shields (Wayne) of Hornsby, TN, Clara Taylor of Bolivar, TN, and Ruby Onder (Louis) of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Ronald Duncan of Bolivar, TN, and Dennis Duncan of Bolivar, TN; three grandchildren, Steven Austin, Brock Grisham, and Greg Grisham; one great-grandchild, Carlee Grisham; and thirteen nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Marie Duncan; two sisters, Frances Cook and Bonnie Jean Duncan; a brother, Grady Duncan; and a brother-in-law, Thomas "Buddy" Taylor.
