James F. Tompach

JAMES F. TOMPACH

was born in LaPorte County, Indiana on December 29, 1943 the son of the late Emil Rudolph and Mildred C. Scultz Tompach.

On June 11, 1966 he was united in marriage to Wilma Carolyn Dickey, who survives.

James had worked as a pull man for Standard Rail Car Plant in Michigan City, Indiana and also worked as a steel mill worker for Midwest Steel Mill in Portage, Indiana. He retired in 2002 and moved to Savannah, Tennessee where he worked in maintenance for McDonald's. James loved working, being outside and spending time with his animals.

He departed this life on May 25, 2019 at his residence in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 26 days.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, Wilma C. Tompach of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Tim J. Tompach and his wife Theresa of Charlestown, Indiana, Nancy S. Heisler and her husband Troy of Savannah, Tennessee and Karen L. Tompach and her fiancé Jake B. Smith of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Rayna Montano and Riley Tompach, both of Michigan City, Indiana, Haley Heisler and Logan Heisler, both of Savannah, Tennessee and Ella Tompach of Charlestown, Indiana; and one sister, Jeanette Tompach Avila of Michigan City, Indiana.

James was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Clarice Jenkins and brother in law, Richard Jenkins.
