James W. Harris

Mr. James W. Harris, age 87 of Bolivar, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday morning, September 11, 2018 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.

Mr. Harris was born Tuesday, June 23, 1931 to the late Manson and Elizabeth Jackson Harris. On Sunday, September 22, 1963, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Carolyn Harris, who preceded him in death December 26, 2002.

James was very handy and well-known in the community for his carpentry skills. He also worked in sawmilling and was involved in building a new sub-station for TVA. He had been a member of the Bolivar church of Christ since 1989, and attended the Middleton church of Christ prior to that. He lived all of his life in Hardeman County.

Mr. Harris is survived by his brother, Zane Harris of Bolivar; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and an infant twin brother.
